Sophie completed an Art Foundation at Middlesex University in 1996 but it was not until moving to Kent in 2009 that she really found time to explore her love of drawing and painting. Over time a distinctive bright and playful style began to emerge. Since then Sophie has exhibited at the Horsebridge in Whitstable, Creek Creative in Faversham, taken part in the Artists Open Houses and been longlisted in the Jacksons Painting Prize.

Early 20th Century Author Series
Brilliant minds have interesting faces, and these internationally recognised and culturally significant authors, playwrights or philosophers are no exception. Exploring their historical and striking photographic portraits in black and white allows Sophie to reinterpret each character in her inimitable, painterly style and experiment more freely with colour.
